To all Disciples and Sannyasins,

In celebration of Guru Poornima, the Society is honoured to hold this special day of prayer and celebration. We will begin with Abhishegam for Shiva and Mangalaambigai. This will be followed by Shiva pooja which all disciples are invited to participate in.

Time

The Shiva Abhishegam

When you do an abhishegam you are evoking that in you and offering that to God. You offer that to God so that you can be that.

1. Pouring of milk
   As I offer this milk purely may I receive purely

2. Pouring of coconut water
   Pour to calm down the Shiva for my mistakes that I have done, to beg that existence doesn’t take the hard road with oneself.
   
   
3. Pouring of rose water
   Offer with love, may everything be offered to me in love
   
   
4. Pouring of sandalwood
   Evoking the highest, evoking the bhogam - the perfume of richness/perfume of love
   
   
5. Pouring of vibuthi (ash)
   So I may be free from illusion
   
   
6. Empty the tray and decorate the Shivalinga with flower
   
   
7. Recitation of Master’s mantra for 7 mins
   
   
8. After each Mantra to place flower at base of the Shivalinga
   
   
9. To show sambrani (frankincense) 3 times clockwise
   
   
10. To show sudam (camphor) 3 times clockwise

7. 5 tumblers
8. 1 small Sombu (metal container)
9. 3 trays one for loose flowers, one deep tray for the Shivalinga and one tray for the rest
10. Bell
11. Matchbox
12. Sambrani (frankincense)
13. Sudam (camphor )
14. Tuvakal holder (frankincense holder)
15. Camphor holder
16. Flowers
